Player guideServer rules
Server rules
Illustrations and screenshots may show Japanese labels. The text below explains the same features in English.
These are the rules for playing on spa77.works SMP, nicknamed 「えこらいふ!」 (Ecolife!).
By starting to play on this server, you agree to these rules.

Discord verification is required before entering

Verification links your Minecraft and Discord accounts. Follow these steps.
1. Join the Discord server
This is separate from the human-verification check when joining Discord.
2. Connect from Minecraft
You are disconnected once, and a 4-digit verification code appears. This is expected behavior.
3. Press the button in #認証
Open Discord’s #認証 verification channel and press 「認証コードを入力」 (Enter verification code).

4. Enter and submit the code
Type the 4-digit code from Minecraft into the 「認証コード」 field and press Submit. Verification is complete when 「認証しました」 appears.

5. Reconnect from Minecraft
You can now enter the lobby.
The verification process is the same for Java and Bedrock. Consoles such as Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox may require additional connection steps before verification. You cannot enter a world until verification is complete. Codes expire after 5 minutes; reconnect to get a new one if needed.
See Getting started for joining instructions and the FAQ if you get stuck.
General rules
Everyone playing on this server must follow these rules.
Prohibited behavior
- Harassment, abusive language, stalking, or griefing
- Cheats, cheat clients, rapid-click macros, automation tools, or exploiting bugs
- Activities that put excessive load on the server, such as creating huge numbers of mobs or placing large numbers or long chains of hoppers
- Obtaining or duplicating items, money, or rewards through unfair methods
- Abusing multiple accounts to claim rewards twice, evade penalties, or claim excessive land. Simply owning multiple accounts is not prohibited.
- Vulgar or offensive names, skins, or sign text
- Interfering with staff announcements, events, or handling of issues
- Persistently interrogating, publicly blaming or exposing, or retaliating against someone you suspect of griefing or theft
- Other behavior the administrator judges unacceptable
Streaming and publishing
- You may publish gameplay videos, screenshots, and live streams.
- Be considerate of other players.
- If problems arise, the administrator may ask you to change how content is published or make it private.
Disputes between players
If you suspect griefing or theft, report it to staff rather than trying to resolve it yourself.
- Inspection records show who interacted with something, not why. Shared builds, cleanup done at someone’s request, accidents, or previous occupants can make the situation impossible to judge from records alone.
- Do not confront someone based on inspection results. Write down what you found and pass it to staff.
- Public accusations, exposure, and retaliation are prohibited behavior, whether in game chat, Discord, streams, or social media. Interfering with that player’s buildings or belongings also counts. Even if they really did it, retaliation can itself be treated as harassment.
If an argument has already started
If you are arguing or have already confronted the player, take these steps.
1. Stop the exchange
Do not continue questioning them or arguing back. Stopping here is the most important step.
2. Report the incident, including the argument
Use /report on Discord. Staff will communicate their decision in that ticket too.
The purpose is to stop the dispute, not to demand punishment. Either side can report it.
3. Wait for staff to review it
Staff will hear both sides, check the records, and explain their decision. Do not decide the outcome between yourselves.
Asking first does not itself lead to punishment
Anyone can become worried and ask the other person what happened. You will not be punished merely for having done that.
- If it was a misunderstanding, staff will tell both sides. You do not need to demand apologies from each other.
- If you have published screenshots or stream archives, staff may ask you to delete them or make them private.
Administrator actions
- The administrator may issue warnings, roll back damage, remove items, temporarily suspend access, or ban players.
- Final decisions concerning the server are made by the administrator.
Responsibility and changes to the rules
- The administrator is not responsible for consequences of server failures, lost data, or disputes between players.
- Lost items, money, and similar assets are generally not compensated or returned, including losses caused by lag, bugs, or player disputes.
- The administrator may choose to perform a rollback or other recovery, but decides whether and how far to restore. Players have no entitlement to demand it.
- Rules may change when needed. Revised rules apply from the time they are announced on this site or in related community spaces.
Buildings and bases
- Do not interfere with other players’ buildings, placed items, or protected land without permission.
- Do not leave unfinished buildings abandoned for long periods or leave large holes in the terrain.
- Do not demolish buildings or take their contents merely because the owner has been absent for a long time or land protection has expired.
- To request cleanup of an unused building, contact staff through
/reporton Discord. Staff will check details such as the owner’s last login and decide whether to clear it. See using abandoned buildings or land.
Gathering resources
- Gather resources in the designated resource worlds, including Resource Server 2, the Resource Nether, and the Resource End.
- Gathering resources in the Building World is prohibited.
- Dirt, stone, and wood removed while preparing land for a build may be discarded, used for landscaping, filling, or construction, or sold. What is prohibited is digging or cutting trees for resources without a building plan.
Automated machines
- Fully automatic machines that keep producing items or money without player input are prohibited.
- Semi-automatic machines operated by player actions, such as pressing a button or releasing water, are allowed if they do not disrupt the economy.
- Systems that seriously disrupt the economy, such as automatic mass duplication or production of items, are also prohibited.
- Machines that are not fully automatic may be built in the Building World. Resource-gathering machines, such as mob farms, should generally be built in resource worlds.
See Automation for definitions and specific allowed and prohibited examples.
Maintenance
See Maintenance and connection problems for downtime caused by daily backups and weekly or monthly updates, and what to check if you cannot connect.
