Spa Medals
Illustrations and screenshots may show Japanese labels. The text below explains the same features in English.
Spa Medals are physical currency items exchangeable for Spa Coins. Buy them at the lobby exchange, then give them to other players or trade them in chest shops.
They are a shared token for events such as casinos.
Denominations and prices
Medals come in denominations of 1, 10, and 100, distinguished by color and number.
| Medal | Color | Purchase price | Exchange back to Spa Coins |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Spa Medal | Copper | 2.5 Spa Coins | 2 Spa Coins |
| 10 Spa Medals | Silver | 25 Spa Coins | 20 Spa Coins |
| 100 Spa Medals | Gold | 250 Spa Coins | 200 Spa Coins |
Exchanging back returns 20% less
Buying medals and immediately exchanging them back reduces your Spa Coins. Buy only what you plan to use.
Medals of the same denomination stack up to 64 per slot.
Using the exchange
Right-click the lobby villager named 「スパメダル両替所」 (Spa Medal Exchange) to open the exchange screen.

The 3 rows of medal icons buy and sell denominations of 1, 10, and 100, from top to bottom. The next row has buttons for breaking and combining denominations. The bottom row sells Spa Lottery tickets.

Buying medals
Press a green button: 「1枚買う」, 「10枚買う」, or 「64枚買う」, meaning buy 1, 10, or 64. The corresponding Spa Coin amount is deducted and the medals are added to your inventory.
If you lack Spa Coins or inventory space, the purchase stops without deducting anything.
Exchanging medals back to Spa Coins
Press a red 「1枚戻す」 or 「10枚戻す」 button to exchange back 1 or 10, or the orange 「全部戻す」 button to exchange all. The medals are removed and Spa Coins are added.
Only medals in your main inventory are counted. Move medals from your offhand into your inventory first.
Breaking and combining denominations
The cyan 「崩す」 button breaks a 100-Spa-Medal item into ten 10-Spa-Medal items, or a 10-Spa-Medal item into ten 1-Spa-Medal items. The purple 「束ねる」 button does the reverse.
Neither operation has a fee.
Giving medals to others
You can handle medals like ordinary items.
| Method | How |
|---|---|
| Hand them over | Drop the medals near the recipient |
| Buy or sell in a shop | Use them as merchandise in a shop |
| Auction | List them in the auction |
They can also be stored in chests and shulker boxes.
What medals cannot do
Medals use nautilus shells as their base item, but cannot be used as ingredients. Crafting tables, crafters, anvils, grindstones, and smithing tables produce no output when you try to use them.
Renaming a nautilus shell on an anvil does not turn it into a medal. The exchange will not count it or exchange it for Spa Coins.
Do not judge medals by appearance alone
After receiving medals in a trade, check whether the amount you own shown in the exchange screen has increased. That tells you whether they are genuine.
